A new translation
The Torah of AO is a fresh English translation of the five books of Moses — Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy — rendered with the true name of the Most High, AO, restored throughout.
Why the name matters
For centuries, English translations have substituted titles where the name of the Most High appeared. This translation treats the name as the Scriptures themselves treat it: as present, as spoken, as the one on whom the whole story rests.
How it's organized
Each book is arranged by chapter and verse. You can open any passage, highlight verses in three colors, anchor your own notes to any line, and — once you sign in — carry your study across every device.
What's coming
Psalms, Proverbs, an audio reading, and a video library are in preparation. The blog is where translation notes and announcements appear as the work unfolds.
A word on the work
Translation is slow, careful labor. We have tried to keep the rhythm of the Hebrew, to clarify what time had obscured, and to never flatten the language of the Scriptures into plainness. The aim is a text fit for quiet study and for reading aloud.
